Chemically, alpha-pyrrolidinoisohexanophenone (-PiHP) is also known as a-PiHP S-Liquid. According to structural analysis, -PiHP can completely replace -PVP and Pentedrone and has effects that are comparable to or even better than those of the other chemicals.

a-PiHP S-liquid is a chemical of the cathinone class which features a phenethylamine core with further substitutions and an alkyl group linked to the alpha carbon and a ketone group attached to the beta carbon.

The methyl group in a-PiHP S-liquid is moved from the 4-position of the aromatic ring to the 4-position of the acyl chain in the positional isomer of pyrovalerone.
