About CBD

Cannabidiol is a phytochemical naturally present in the cannabis plant and its distinct varieties in various concentrations. It belongs to a group of chemicals called phytochemicals that make up the hemp plant’s natural composition. On average, it may be present at concentrations up to 40% in the cannabis plant, depending on the specific variety.

As a chemical, it can be obtained in its purified form through extraction from the cannabis plant, after which it is termed as CBD. This extraction process may result in refined or unrefined CBD, which is termed as full-spectrum CBD, broad-spectrum CBD, or CBD isolate based on the decreasing concentration of other chemicals obtained through the extraction process, respectively.

CBD can also be obtained through an artificial means of production, which results in the CBD isolate form of Cannabidiol.
