Gidazepam is an atypical benzodiazepine research chemical that was developed in the Soviet Union. It is also known as hydazepam or hidazepam. Gidazepam metabolite 7-bromo-5-phenyl-1,2-dihydro-3H-1,4-benzodiazepine-2-one (desalkylgidazepam or bromo-nordazepam) has active properties. Gidazepam also has lower affinities to GABA RCs than phenazepam, 3-hydrozyphenazepam, and Br-nordiazepam.
